Rig builders rallied
Keppel Corp (+2.0% dod, $8.54) and SembCorp Marine (+2.1% dod, $3.39) rallied yesterday close to lunch time. After market, Keppel Corp announced that Keppel FELS’ joint venture with J Ray McDermott signed a contract worth approximately US$1 billion to build and operate the P-61 Tension Leg Wellhead Platform in Brazil’s Papa-Terra field.

A tale of 2 halves for Wilmar
Wilmar ended the morning session in positive territory, but plunged $0.10 at the opening of the afternoon session after the company announced that its Chinese unit’s application to list in Hong Kong lapsed, and the application will not be renewed. The stock fell 1.2% dod and closed at $6.51.
